Windhoek, 26 May 2019 – With less than two weeks left before the fifth State-Owned Enterprise (SOE) sports games take place in Luderitz from 7 – 8 June 2019, Namibia Wildlife Resorts (NWR) is ready to showcase what they are made of.

Having recently held their annual inter-sports tournament aimed at selecting the various teams that will be represent the company at the SOE games, NWR is looking forward to bringing the Bucht to a standstill. “Over the years, we have used our inter-sports competition to bring us together through sports and also compete for a place on the various teams that will be going to the SOE games. For instance, last year the inter-sports tournament took place in Gross Barmen, in preparation for the SOE games that occurred in Walvis Bay. This time around we decided to have them in Hardap, and we must say that the different teams had fun while competing fiercely like never before”, says Ms Mwatire Uyumba, NWR human capital officer and SOE committee chairperson.

Various SOE’s will be taking part in volleyball, netball, soccer, tug of war and relay with the ultimate aim of being crowned the 2019 SOE sporting giants. “Having fielded players in all these various sporting codes, we would like to tell our fellow SOE participants that we are ready and will be playing to win”, says Mr Mufaro Njabulo Nesongano, NWR corporate communication and online media manager.
