	Sossus Dune Lodge celebrates first birthday We are proud to announce that Sossus Dune Lodge has come of age. Officially opened on the 21 July 2007 by His Excellency Hifikepunye Pohamba, President of the Republic of Namibia, this fledgling of NWR is now in popular demand, and has grown from strength to strength over the past year.

	Public Private Partnerships At a glittering event on the 17th July 2008, Namibia Wildlife Resorts entered into a number of Public Private Partnership (PPP) agreements, for the upgrade and management of Daan Viljoen, Von Bach, Reho Spa, the four camp sites in the West Coast Recreation Area, as well as the management of all the petrol stations at NWR Camps. This was the culmination of months of preparation and negotiation.

	New exclusive NWR camp in Etosha National Park Onkoshi Camp, the first new lodge in the world renowned Etosha National Park to be built in independent Namibia, is due to become a reality this year. With the backdrop of the dramatic Etosha Pan, currently filled to the brim with water, and surrounded by pristine Kalahari woodlands, the newly appointed Minister of Environment and Tourism, Honourable Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah officiated at the groundbreaking ceremony on 16 April 2008.
